I’m angry. Where is he? (Part I)

July 12, 2010

There are days that I still have a problem with being angry. Yes I must confess it. I am human still. I can get flustered and shakingly mad. I know this is physically bad as my blood pressure is up. It serves no good to be angry. I am not talking about righteous anger but in general anger of every day life.

I can be angry at someone for doing me a wrong and I can feel the evil swell up inside of me and get very puffed up. I am ready to talk of their evil bestowed upon me so that they may look bad and my case justified. I mean the unspoken goodie of the “world” is vilification and victimization. You did me wrong so I make you the bad guy and I take the place of victim. Ever done it?

Depend on him or Deep End with him?

July 10, 2010

For the last three years I have had over 20 jobs. Most of them are temp and contract jobs that are completed. Some are job changes. A few were company cut-backs. Some just ended not so well which were very few. There sometimes was a period of unemployment between the jobs ranging anywhere from a few days to a month and a half.

When that started you get further behind and once you get the next job you play catch up for at least a month and a half before you can get things flowing again financially. There seems to be a cap with me and that is three and a half months is the longest the jobs last at max. There have only been three jobs lasted that long.

What does it feel like to be depressed?

July 5, 2010

So there is no justice among us, and we know nothing about right living.
We look for light but find only darkness.
We look for bright skies but walk in gloom.
We grope like the blind along a wall, feeling our way like people without eyes.
Even at brightest noontime, we stumble as though it were dark.
Among the living, we are like the dead.
We growl like hungry bears;
we moan like mournful doves.
We look for justice, but it never comes.
We look for rescue, but it is far away from us.
(Isaiah 59:9-11 NLT)

Brick walls

July 4, 2010

When depressed there is a lot to say but nothing to write. When angry there is only one point to express. When frustrated I have no idea what to so or how to express what I want. When sad I just want to say nothing. But alas not having anything to say is not bad. Sometimes its better to not say something to regret later.

Sometimes there is a brick wall in front of us that eventually needs to be dealt with before anything else can be said or done. I have been at a brick wall. Not the pretty red ones. But different bricks colored with sin and depression. Only by God’s merciful grace has some of the bricks come down. And here I am for a new day. Life is still crazy for me right now.

But there is one difference.
